To all the other books I have loved before, kindly push over and make room because Meet Me in Paradise is joining the crowd! After finishing a story have you ever wanted to crush it to your chest and never let it go? If not, then you don’t get me, but it you have then you can understand what I mean when I say that I love this book. I can’t wait until I have a physical copy to crush to me because then I can carry it around and show it to everyone and demand that they get a copy so that we could talk about how utterly amazing the story is. Yep, that is going to be me.When I first started reading Meet Me in Paradise, I didn’t know if it was going to be a hit with me. I was intrigued by the synopsis and was fairly sure that I was going to like what was between the covers because it promised a loving sibling relationship, possible romance, overcoming personal fears, and a lingering secret. Sounds great, right?! To be honest, I am not usually a huge fan of secrets, or well intended deception, as part of a storyline but this story was written so well and the plot points were perfectly executed that the story flowed and I didn’t obsess (too much) about what being hidden.With that said, I will admit that there was one portion of this story that didn’t win me over completely but my mixed feelings on that was not enough to stop my enjoyment. From the synopsis you can glean that there is a romantic element, well, one side was clearly explained in the story but the other side was not and I wish I had been privy to understanding the other side. I can’t say the romantic element between the characters felt false, it just felt real and yet underdeveloped. I wanted more from it.Now, don’t let that bring you down because that was only one part of what made this story awesome! There is also another romantic element woven into this story that has my heart beating so hard and it is truly swoon worthy. What had me reading through a waterfall of tears was the story between Sadie and Marin. Neither one of these characters were perfect but they were real and connected and sisters. I point out ‘sisters’ because sisters can drive each other crazy and yet love each other madly and that was felt throughout Meet Me in Paradise. This story was about beginnings, endings, and all the messiness and wonder that living life creates in-between. Seriously, add this book to your to-be-read pile today, it is that good!This review is based on a complimentary book I received. It is an honest and voluntary review.
